9. Cabinet Office – Solutions Exchange Forum
Key objective was to create an online forum tool to allow:
• SMEs to engage with the government, in order to help SMEs connect with
government and find out about potential ways to sell to the public sector or to pitch
innovative business ideas.
• The government to engage the market informally before any formal procurement
processes have started. It will give suppliers (particularly SMEs) a quick, free of
charge way to pitch innovative ideas to save money and improve public services.
Requirements gathering meeting: 6th June
Deadline for site completion: 27th June
‘by 27 June the best we could hope for would be a demonstration model’

To deliver 5 days of consultancy and delivery work by Reading Room in
order to deliver a rapid prototype build.
Project Scope:
A dedicated team for 5 days of cooperative work with the Cabinet
Office, with the aim of creating a ‘Solutions Exchange’ prototype tool.

Truly iterative process of Dev creating pages while UX and Designer created the
user journeys and design
Constant communication between all team members enabled continuous iterations
