- There are multiple services that Tax has to allow tax professionals to do their work electronically. These services are being developed and hosted at no cost to the state.
- Over 500,000 filings were processed via eFile in 2010. Adoption has been increasing by around 30 - 60% per year over the last 5 years. We are making major changes to simplify the process.
- You folks probably don’t need me to explain this to you. Its simple/ eFile-ing is a huge resource savings. It’s the reason we use automation.
- Stats for months after August 2011 are projected.
- Interesting points:If you use Wisconsin’s #’s at $3 per filing that is $1.5 Million saved!$2.50 fee removed in June 2008 – adoption increased

- We allow filers to track their refunds. By the way, did you know that if you use eFile, your clients refunds will likely be processed 2 – 4 weeks faster than by mail?
- Unemployment Quarterly Wage Reporting and Unemployment insurance Reports are easy to make via HUI express. Replaced Magnetic Media completelyPayments are made via electronic transfer or credit card. 80% of Hawaii employers leverage the service.

- Vendors who work with the state, county or even federal government for more than $2,500 must comply with Hawaii State Procurement law. HCE allows vendors to do this with no visits to the DCCA, IRS, Labor or Tax offices. We are deploying fixes this summer to make the service work even better.
