O objetivo deste tutorial é ensinar aos usuários de câmeras digitais a reduzir suas fotos para um tamanho que seja possível enviá-las por e-mail.

Reduzindo as fotos 1) Para começar, vá até o menu File e depois clique em Batch Conversion/Rename .

Reduzindo as fotos 2) Na nova janela aberta, marque a opção Use advanced options e depois clique no botão Set advanced options . Obs: A configuração das opções avançadas (advanced options) só será necessária na primeira vez que você utilizar o IrfanView. Tudo o que configurar agora ficará gravado para a próxima vez que entrar no programa.

Reduzindo as fotos 3) Na nova janela, marque a opção RESIZE . 4) Marque a opção Set new size as percentage of original . Nesta opção, se você deixar 50% / 50%, quer dizer que a foto reduzida terá a metade do tamanho (altura e largura) da foto original.

Reduzindo as fotos 5) Marque as opções Preserve aspect ratio (proportional) e Use Resample function (better quality) para obter melhor qualidade na redução das fotos.

Reduzindo as fotos 6) Cuidado com a opção Overwrite existing files . Se ela for marcada, pode ser que as fotos reduzidas sobreponham as de tamanho original. Aconselho deixar esta opção desmarcada .

Reduzindo as fotos 7) Clique em OK para salvar as configurações avançadas e retornar à tela anterior.

Reduzindo as fotos 8) Através da área em destaque, encontre a pasta onde estão gravadas as fotos originais que você quer reduzir.

Reduzindo as fotos 9) Selecione as fotos que você deseja reduzir e clique no botão Add para adicioná-las à lista de execução, à esquerda. Se quiser reduzir todas as fotos desta pasta, clique no botão Add all .

Reduzindo as fotos 10) Indique em qual pasta serão salvas as fotos reduzidas utilizando o botão Browse . Dica: Ao invés de usar o botão Browse, marque a opção Use this directory as output e em seguida escreva “eduzidas” ao final do endereço que será adicionado na caixa Output directory . Desta forma, dentro da pasta com as fotos originais, será criada uma nova pasta chamada “reduzidas”, onde estarão as fotos menores.

Reduzindo as fotos 11) Certifique-se de que a opção Batch conversion esteja marcada e, em seguida, clique em Start .

Reduzindo as fotos 12) Uma nova janela será aberta mostrando o andamento da conversão das imagens. Quando terminar, o botão Exit será habilitado. Clique sobre ele.
