8. How Competitive are the Premiums?
• Let’s take the most expensive option in the
market today:
45 year old male choosing plan “B” (rhymes with
oopa) $1000 in country/$2000 out of country
deductible. Annual premium of $4,606
45 year old male choosing Meridian Enhanced with
$250 deductible is $1,978
Even with 25% renewal increases annually (highly
unlikely) it would take approximately 4 years to
attain the original premium charged by Company
B for a lesser amount of coverage

those with modestly flawed health histories who
accept restrictions for pre-existing conditions

Lloyd’s is an insurance market, not an insurance company. Azimuth places business with Kiln/Mathers Syndicates 807 and 308. Kiln has been awarded multiple times the distinction of Top Managing Agency within the Lloyd’s market. Kiln/Mathers is wholly owned by Tokio Marine, a holding company for global insurance operations, including Japan’s oldest and largest property and casualty insurer.
Can pay annually, semi-annually, quarterly, monthly. Monthly, first two months paid up front.
Plus, the client will have been saving around $2 grand a year in premium per year during the intervening years. All while having a lower deductible, broader coverage for things such as Rx, better transplant coverage, better hospital room & board coverage and free kids if mom and dad are insured! All with Lloyd’s safety and security.
An important aspect to the plans and their choice of selection is the underwriting standards inherent with each and how each plan addresses existing conditions. The Meridian Enhanced, when the condition is disclosed on the application is reviewed and in most cases ridered for a period of time, but a key point is that after this rider expires, coverage for the existing condition goes to the overall plan maximum of $5 million dollars. The Meridian Basic has a more restrictive view of existing conditions, providing an immediate 24 month wait (at minimum) for existing conditions and a limitation of $10K per year thereafter with a maximum benefit level of $50K for the existing condition. The Clear is a special case product – meaning there is a $5K/year after 24 months (minimum) with a $50K limit.
My personal opinion is that the Meridian Basic is the best value among all the value laden products offered by Azimuth. Most benefits are covered as Usual Reasonable and Customary. Fast issuance and very competitive premium points.
Mid level premium point between Basic and Enhanced. Limited benefit plan still is sufficient to cover most benefit needs.
Quoting system allows for plan review, rate calculation, purchase and/or saved applications for return and completion. All available 24/7. Fulfillment includes: Receipt for the transaction, identification card(s), welcome letter, claim forms and Evidence of Insurance
Clients will soon also be able to view claims status via www.azimuthrisk.com once integration between Korak and Azimuth is complete
This can easily change. We can link the quoter to whatever site is appropriate
