2. About Relay For Life
• Relay for Life is about coming together in the fight against cancer.
• It’s a time to remember those who lost there battle to this disease
and celebrate those who have survived.
• It’s a place where people connect with others, share there cancer
experience and find comfort and support.
3. My Story
• Last March, my brother, sister, and I, participated in Relay for Life at
the University of Hartford.
• We relayed in honor of my mother, Saundra Cohen, who lost her
battle two and a half years ago to brain cancer.
• My mother was one of a kind because she held an amazing gift to
always light up a room through her selfless and genuine personality.
4. A little about my mother
• She was a remarkable and extraordinary mother, wife, and friend to
those who had the privilege of knowing her.
• By experiencing such a tragic loss of losing someone that important to
me and for withholding the memory of my mother, I felt I needed to
get involved in being part of the solution by raising money for the
cure.
5. Together We Walk
• We teamed up with the fraternity, SAE, and completed the walk
together.
6. How much we raised
• With the help from our amazing family, friends, and peers, we raised
about $1,000!
• We love and miss you mom!
