This document summarizes the volume and implementation of Structural Assistance funds from 2007-2013 in the EU. It shows that the total Structural Assistance over this period was EUR 3.4 billion, with 55% (EUR 1.86 billion) coming from the European Regional Development Fund, 34% (EUR 1.15 billion) from the Cohesion Fund, and 11% (EUR 391 million) from the European Social Fund. Payments to beneficiaries increased each year over this period, reaching EUR 586 million in 2013. The funds received from the European Commission also increased annually, totaling EUR 678.6 million in 2013.
