(combination of community votes, community expert votes, and Quirky design team research/analysis)




        + PRODUCT MUST HAVE A MINIMUM
       SCORE OF 70 TO QUALIFY FOR QUIRKY
                   ADOPTION.
                  (IF NO PRODUCTS HIT 70, ALL SUBMISSION FEES WILL BE RETURNED)




        + THE TOP-SCORED IDEA WILL MOVE
                   FORWARD.
CHANGES TO THE DESIGN
      PROCESS
+ Field studies will be conducted concurrently with the
            community product research phase.

 + Project frequency will increase from an average of 5-7
  projects per product to 10-14 projects (smaller, more
                  concrete deliverables).
  + We will begin to certify community members’ areas of
                          expertise.

+ Opinions of “community experts” will be weighted more
                       heavily.

+ Products will not launch without a mechanically working
                 prototype / demo video.

+ Product development will slow, however one product idea
               per week will still be picked.

              + Reduces time from threshold to ship.

                    + Increases product quality.

+ Assures the product pre-sales specification is completely accurate.

      + Allows for demo video which will stimulate pre-sales.

Prior Art / Uniqueness / Marketability Work Done To Date Margin / Feasibility Products Submitted As     Toys, Design/Art, Furniture, Soft Goods, Other EVALUATION CRITERIA Results Of Community Vote / Feedback Niche, Regional, National, Global Is this something the customer wants / needs / has to have? Do these represent convincing consumer selling points? Prior Art / Uniqueness / Marketability Work Done To Date Margin / Feasibility WORK IN PROGRESS
  • 5. + SUBMITTED PRODUCTS WILL ALL GET A TRANSPARENT SCORE OF 0-100. (combination of community votes, community expert votes, and Quirky design team research/analysis) + PRODUCT MUST HAVE A MINIMUM SCORE OF 70 TO QUALIFY FOR QUIRKY ADOPTION. (IF NO PRODUCTS HIT 70, ALL SUBMISSION FEES WILL BE RETURNED) + THE TOP-SCORED IDEA WILL MOVE FORWARD.
  • 6. CHANGES TO THE DESIGN PROCESS
  • 7. + Field studies will be conducted concurrently with the community product research phase. + Project frequency will increase from an average of 5-7 projects per product to 10-14 projects (smaller, more concrete deliverables). + We will begin to certify community members’ areas of expertise. + Opinions of “community experts” will be weighted more heavily. + Products will not launch without a mechanically working prototype / demo video. + Product development will slow, however one product idea per week will still be picked.
  • 8. Products Will Not Launch Until They Are Tested And Ready To Move Immediately Into Production + Reduces time from threshold to ship. + Increases product quality. + Assures the product pre-sales specification is completely accurate. + Allows for demo video which will stimulate pre-sales.
