Long Distance Relationship Surivival Tips Needed ?
I am leaving for Kentucky tomorrow because I am going to college there, but I am leaving my
boyfriend here. I have been dating him for 10 months and I love him A LOT. I can feel that he is
the one and I don’t want to lose him. We will do long distance and I know its gonna b tough but
I really want it to work. Any tips on how to survive long distance relationships?

Blissful Relationship answers:

Oh my god, lol, I see this question all the time. Like every 10 minutes. Here, I had a long
distance relationship that worked.

We talked every single day, we were on web cam every single day, we texted a lot and IM a lot,
we sent pictures all the time. We were both in highschool and after about 8 months she
graduated and she actually moved up to Wisconsin from Pennsylvania.

Albeit we did break up eventually, our long distance relationship did infact work. And we still talk
even till today.

Hope that helps.

                                                                                              1/6

How to survive a long distance relationship?
Please serious answers only, preferably by people who’ve been in long distance relationships.

Please don’t suggest phone sex. That’s not an option. We tried it and I laughed the entire time.
We’ve been in a long distance relationship for 2 years and I’m getting really sick of it. Today
we talked ONCE for 4 minutes. Not romantic at all. I’m tired of this distance shit but I know with
our jobs and school it wont change for a while. What are some tips to get through it?

Blissful Relationship answers:

I’m in a long distance relationship. We always call to say good morning and good night. We see
each other as often as possible, no less than once a month. We even stay in a hotel over night
and take the greyhound if we have to. We send each other gifts, letters, cards, etc. We text a lot
and text pictures (regular pics and sexy pics included Also, We’re going to start using skype as
soon as he gets a web cam.

We get kind of creative in the packages. One time he was sick, so I sent him an elvis coffee
mug (he loves Elvis), hot coco mix for the mug, home made cookies and comfy new socks. In
my opinion those are necessities when your sick :] He was so excited he sent me pictures of
him opening it and with all of the stuff. He still takes the coffee cup with him everywhere :]

                                                                                            2/6

Tips for surviving a long distance relationship?
My fiance and I are in the home stretch…we’ll be reunited in just over a month after 6 months of
distance. (And by distance I mean reallllly long distance–he’s in Kenya, I’m in the U.S.) This
last bit is proving to be so difficult as we both have so much anticipation for our reunion. How
will I get through this last month????

Blissful Relationship answers:

Well youve definatly just gotten through one of the hardest parts of your relationship so just
keep reminding yourself of how great its going to be when he comes back. I’m sure that the
one month you have left will fly by.

                                                                                             3/6
Nancy asks…

Can a Pisces and Scorpio survive a long distance relationship?
My Pisces boyfriend and I have been together for two years–and I feel we’re amazing together.
Yes, we have our arguments but he humbles me, is one of the few people I know who can see
through me (for the most part) and we have amazing intimacy. I read in an in depth analysis of
our relationship that we are best as lovers and worst as a married couple–but I’ll leave the
thought of that for later.

Anyway, we have had distance between us for months in the course of our two year
relationship–with six hours between us. I’ve been in college and he’s been trying to “find
himself” (you know how Pisces are) and now he’s finally deciding to return to college. I’m
extremely happy for him and that he is growing and becoming more mature–but at the same
time I am afraid. I know the love he has for me will last in his heart but will his level of
commitment and fidelity last? He says it will–but I’m looking for anyone with experience to give
me advice/tips on how to make this work.

Blissful Relationship answers:

They can if they’re in mind to. Problem is ,Pisces especially, isn’t the strongest mentally or
decisively.

HELP with a LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP?
need some tips on how to handle a long distance relationship.

If the relationship survives the distance for a year…one of us will be moving countries so we
are together.

I haven’t seen him since Feb. I’m next seeing him in July. Then hopefully October then Jan
2012.

we live in diff countries.

What are some way to cope?

i find the distance really hard emotionally. I miss the physical touch, but i can wait for that, it’s
more the emotions that i struggle with. Sometimes i get resentful of the distance and get bitchy.

Being a woman…we are emotional and sometimes over thinkers and irrational. I struggle with all
this internal stuff because he isn’t here to go through the day to day stuff with me.

I really miss him and it hurts.

how can i make this easier on myself if he is what i want?

tips?

Blissful Relationship answers:

Just keep constantly communicating with him because that’s what you can do on your end. If
possible talk everyday because that’s the only way you guys can keep the love alive otherwise
there would be a falling out or you feel like strangers. And also you must have that resolve that
you’ll make it work despite the distance and you can tell him that it does bother you, be
emotionally transparent so he understands what you’re going through and you don’t keep it
bottled up. But try to be not bishy about it if possible haha because it’s difficult for him as well.

Because if you really want to make it work, you just really need to suck up whatever emotional
storms you might go through time and again because if he is who you really want, it’s worth the
sacrifice

                                                                                                5/6
that’s how it works for me because my significant other is also in another country, like 6000
miles from where i am and we fly back and forth each other but we do want to make it work so
we just roll up our sleeves and sacrifice comfort because it’s something worth keeping but we
will, in the foreseeable future, be together in one place so i can put up with the wait. I just
comfort myself with the thought of the future and be focused on the goal and enjoy the ride. So
you can try focusing that you will end up together, that way you won’t mind the obstacles. for
the mean time, try to busy yourself so you won’t think about it so much and divert the energy
you alot for your current emotions and just appreciate him despite the annoying distance.
