Key Points: It is Sun's goal to combine the systems and software to build clouds; the architectural expertise to maximize cloud capabilities; and the technologies to take cloud computing to a higher level. We offer these technologies and general approach as components to those enterprises building cloud computing environments and to the developer and end-user communities via partners and our own cloud computing offering. Sun will be supporting a variety of clouds. We're going to take what we learn from building and operating public clouds for Sun and its customers and turn it into a set of services and product offerings to help our partners and end-user customers build private clouds. And we'll be working wiith our go-to-market partners and our ISVs on those cloud services that go up the stack, either as a platform as a service or as software as a service. No matter what it is – a public cloud, a private cloud, someone who's operating a hybrid cloud, a partner offering up PaaS or SaaS – Sun has an open approach, driven by partnerships, and driven by the community efforts that are going to drive the software components that make these clouds flexible and more widely accepted.
