 Each Member State has the ability to appoint a
judge, so that their number matches the
number of states most of the time. Judges are
elected for a period of six years, and renews
half of its staff in three.
 Judges, the Advocates-General shall be
  selected from individuals totally independent,
eligible to access the highest judicial office in
their country, or jurists of recognized
  competencia.4
 Judges must take the following oath, in the first
public hearing of the Court to attend, and
before entering upon their duties 5:
 The figure of the general counsel plays a special role in the
Court, the judges giving their opinion with complete impartiality
and independence. No part of the deliberations of the Court,
whose judges will finally bring the final decision.
 Significantly, despite its name, has nothing to do with lawyers,
prosecutors or lawyers of the State, as their functions are placed
closest to the judicial sphere. Although his advice is usually taken
into account, it is possible that the Court itself in a direction
different from that general counsel had raised.
 Five of the eight Advocates General are appointed respectively
by Spain, France, Italy, Germany and the UK. The other three are
elected by the remaining 22 countries, following a shift
alphabetically. Poland has insisted on getting a sixth place to
permanently appoint an attorney general. At the request of the
Court, the Council of the European Union, acting unanimously,
    increase the number of Advocates-General.
 The attorneys general are appointed by the Council acting
    unanimously. Today is the siguientes6:
 — Eleanor Sharpston (Reino Unido).
 — Ján Mazák (Eslovaquia).
 — Juliane Kokott (Alemania).
 — Niilo Jääskinen (Finlandia).
 — Paolo Mengozzi (Italia).
 — Pedro Cruz Villalón (España).
 — Verica Trstenjak (Eslovenia).
 — Yves Bot (Francia).
 Cargo similar to the clerk of courts, who is elected by
the Court for a period of six years and may be
reappointed. It also serves as the Secretary General
of the institution, besides acting as a notary public in
the processes. The Court may assign one or more
    assistant secretaries.
 He helps the plenary halls, the President and the
Judges in all their official functions. He is responsible
for the secretariat of the Court, responsible for the
receipt, transmission and custody of documents and
applications entering the institution. It is also the
custodian of the seal of the Court, and is responsible
for the archives and publications of this. It has other
tasks as may be the financial management of the
institution, role supported by an administrator.
 Meet the 27 judges of each Member State is in this court, and it is
a very unusual formation. This court is presided over by the
President of the ECJ and the quorum for deliberation there are 15
    judges.
 The plenary meeting in cases of particular importance, as the
possible dismissal of the Ombudsman or the removal of members
    of the European Commission.
 [edit] Grand Chamber
 The Grand Chamber shall consist, for each subject, by the Chief
Justice, the Presidents of the Chambers of five Judges, the
Judge-Rapporteur and the number of judges needed to reach a
    total of thirteen.
 [edit] Halls

    Justice of the European Union
