2. OUR PLAYGROUND The playground is very big. There are two levels . During the breaks (we have a break in the morning of 15 minutes and a break in the afternoon from five to four to ten past four), we can play table tennis or chat with friends.There are lots of benches, planes trees and a pine tree. There is also a hall .It is opened on the outside.
3. THE BUILDING The building is quite old and has two floors.The school has more than 360 pupils, so it's not such a big school.There are about 25 teachers. In our school pupils are aged from 11 to 15 years old. The primary school is in front of our school. In France you can start school at the age of two but school is compulsory from the age of six. In the hall there are lockers to leave our books. We start school at 8 :30 and we usually finish at 5, so we can leave books we don't need in the afternoon in our lockers.
4. THE LIBRARY The reading corner I n the library we can borrow books.We can only use the computers to do some work. The librarian's name is Mrs Caussé. She helps us to find books and comics. The presentations done in classes are sometimes exhibited in the library.
5. THE COMPUTER ROOM There are fourteen computers. We can use internet and the overhead projector there. We go there at least twice a week for our English European class. We have to validate computer skills for our GCSE's.
6. THE ART ROOM We have arts once a week with Mrs Frantz. There are bunches of tables, a computer and a desk for the teacher. We work on a lot of materials (paper, computer, ..). In year 10 with the GCSE's (brevet in French) we have to do a presentation dealing with the history of arts but we start working on it from year 7.
7. THE CANTEEN Our canteen is a self service. We have to wait our turn to eat. Before starting the meal, we must put a ticket on a board.The best, during the meal ,is to be with friends. THE BOARD
8. A MEAL AT THE CANTEEN In our canteen, there are many choices, a starter like a salad or a pizza, then we have the main course but there is just one choice. It changes everyday. There are vegetables or pasta and meat or fish. Finally we have the desert. There is the choice between a piece of fruit, a yogurt or cheese. That day, the meal was typically French: pasta with « blanquette de veau » (veal with cream and mushrooms), a salad as a starter and a piece of cheese.
9. A BOARDING SCHOOL In our school, there is a boarding school and this year there are fifteen pupils .In our class there is one boarder: Agnes. At the boarding school there is a common room. It's a mixed school but boys are separated from girls.
10. HOLIDAYS IN FRANCE In Autumn we have 10 days in October . I n winter we have a fornight for christmas and a fortnight in February In the spring we have a fortnight in April In the summer we have about two months holidays.
