I am so sick and tired of seeing stories like this in the news. Innocent children, men women, just
living their lives, going on with their day and “Boom” their dead because of some sick wacko
decides he wants to take a life today. Even the children that survived will have to live with this
memory for the rest of their lives.
THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED
MSNBC NEWS FEED
“One parent picking up his young son said the shooting was “the most terrifying moment a
parent can imagine.” He described the anguish of waiting to find out if his son was a victim and
then running to his child.“It was the greatest relief in my existence,” the father said. “I’m just
happy that my kid’s OK.” (Quote from news media)
ONE LIFE TOO MANY
The death toll is the highest from a school shooting in U.S. history since a gunman killed 32

2. people at Virginia Tech in 2007. At Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, two teens killed
13 people and wounded 24 in 1999. Parent Stephen Delgiadice, whose 8-year-old daughter was
not hurt, said he never could have imagined such carnage in the small bedroom community –
where the police force has only three detectives.”It’s alarming, especially in Newtown,
Connecticut, which we always thought was the safest place in America” (Quote from news
media)
TWENTY EIGHT DEAD EIGHTEEN ARE CHILDREN
We as citizens in America have got to stand up to the NRA. They could help stop this carnage if
they wanted too. They think they are so big, so strong, so powerful, that it’s their way or no
way. Well I have news for them, they are not. As far as I’m concerned they too are responsible
the these “BABIES” dying today. We as Americans can change this. I pray to God that they
wake up and do their part of saving lives instead of going to Washington and lobbing for more
laws protecting guns rifles, and automatic weapons, MORE laws that do not protect innocent
American Citizens. And for all of you that are going to spout the “Constitution” about the “Right
to bare arms” yes there is that right “I personally think it archaic” but those were not your
children and your family members killed today. What about their rights. Their rights to go to
school to teach and to learn in a safe environment. Their right to grow up and become
productive citizens, their right to watch their own children grow up. Their right to BE HOME
WITH THEIR FAMILIES ON CHRISTMAS DAY IN ELEVEN DAYS! So as far as I’m
concerned I don’t really care about you whining about your rights on this heart
breaking, horrifying day.
JASON
Jason was a 10 year old boy who lived in my neighborhood. He was a sweet little guy who
would put air in my tire with is bike air pump. I loved him. He had such a big heart. One day
after school he was home, he and one one of his little friends from school found Jason’s fathers
rifle in the closet. Jason was shot in the head and died instantly. I will never forget the suffering of
his parents, and older brother and his grandparents. No he wasn’t shot at school. The rifle
should have been locked up safely so that he could not get his hands on it. I have a family
member that has weapons but he also has a very large safe were his weapons are stored. He is
a responsible gun owner. I know that there are millions of men and women like him. I’m not
worried about them. I’m worried about people who actually sit down and decide to kill another
human because lives actually blow.
IN RETROSPECT
Yesterday when I wrote this blog I was so angry and scared. Scared for the future of children
every where in America. I spoke out against the NRA and I meant what I said but now I will
speak to every elected official we have put into office all across this country. Get off you fat
behinds, stand up together as Fathers, Mothers, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Step Parents and
fix this thing. Don’t you care. Or would you only care if it were a child, a brother or sister in your
family that you loved and care for with all your heart. Don’t just think about it do something
about it. Quit posturing. Did you know that our government spends more money to keep
prisoners in prison that for our mentally ill who many avoid seeking help because of the stigma of
being mentally ill. OK the mother of this very sick man was a survivalist. But does that mean she
had to have automatic weapons that not only killed those babies and teachers but butchered
them. And to think she died at the hands of her son with the “Automatic Weapons” she bought.
Bet she never saw that one coming when she bought them and brought them into her home.
