Message
Dear valued Recruiter,
First of all, let me express my gratitude on your continued support and participation in the ITM
PGDM placements process.
Dr. Kurt Zadek Lewin, a German-American psychologist, is one of the modern pioneers of
social, organizational, and applied psychology. Lewin is often recognized as the "founder of
social psychology" and was one of the first researchers to study group dynamics and
organizational development.
Dr. Lewin once wrote, “A successful individual typically sets his next goal somewhat but not too
much above his last achievement. In this way he steadily raises his level of aspiration.”
At ITM Business School, we have imbibed the philosophy of continuous growth, both in terms
of the quality of educational inputs and the performance capabilities of our graduates. In 20
years, ITM PGDM graduates have proved their strengths at all levels of organizations.
Through two years of intensive training, practical exposure and research based teaching; ITM
students are poised to handle the realities and complexities of high-performance business.
Through self-development and visioning, they are primed to accelerate your business
processes and drive your organization to the next level.
HR Managers around the country have remarked at the passion and enthusiasm that our

these future leaders, through their impressive organizational performance and personal
growth.

7. Director’s
Message
I take this opportunity to express my Thanks to You, the industry professionals who have
been a part of ITM family in moulding our students, in designing our curriculum, in setting
educational standards to create future leaders, and in engaging our students in leadership
positions in your esteemed organisations.
True to the vision of building Business Leaders rather than Management Graduates, ITM
Chennai, which saw its inception about two decades back, can today boast of Presidents,
Directors and Key Strategists playing pivotal roles in various organisations, nationally and
internationally. To name a few of our rankings among the many, we are rated A+ by
Business India and 69th in the country among B schools by The Week. Industry is one of the
best benchmarks for testing the capability of knowledge earned in an institution and ITM
has proved itself, Thanks to the Companies that believed in us and the students who did not
let us down. At ITM our curriculum is a fine blend of Attitude, Skill and Knowledge. Attitude
is shaped through NGO projects, Value-based learning and Life Style Management
sessions. Skill is developed in every student ever since the entry of the students through soft
skills sessions, internship exposure, live projects and other skill based activities like
UTKARSH (Unleashing the Knowledge And Reaching Starry Heights). Knowledge of course
is an area which is a continuous drill all through the two years through conceptual
learning.... Thus ITMs' curriculum enables an overall development of the personality of all
the students!
Our path towards excellence will continue and this cannot happen without the support of
corporate that have associated with us in the form of guest lectures, Internship and
Placement support, thus enabling the industry academia assimilation for quality growth of
ITM .All this has also been possible because of our dedicated staff and students.
Our students of 2011-13 Batch are set to launch themselves in the corporate and I invite
you to team-up with us, visit our campus and recruit our enterprising- corporate-ready
students.
Looking forward to seeing you!

PGDM
Two year full time PGDM program in a trimester pattern.
Admissions: The admissions are through Common Admission Test Scores (CAT or XAT) conducted by IIMs and
XLRI, or GMAT score, followed by a rigorous group discussion and personal interview with an emphasis on
consistent academic record. Institute for Technology and Management – Chennai is the pioneering B-School in
Chennai to admit students on the basis of such scores.
Pedagogy: Our holistic approach to management education emphasizes the strong link between concepts and
practice. Our curriculum provides an opportunity for students to apply the concepts learnt in the real business
situation through concurrent projects.
The pedagogical features of the PGDM Program encompass various tools like case studies, mentoring sessions,
faculty moderated discussions, role plays, quiz, Management games, concurrent projects based on real life
business situations, constant interface with industry through regular guest lectures by high profile executives,
workshops, symposiums, seminars and conventions. The result is an intensive highly interactive experimental
learning leading to the development of managerial skills and well-rounded personality.
Dynamic Learning Environment: Information is life – this is the motto of ITM. All students carry personal laptops.
With this, they are constantly updating their knowledge. The institute is Wi-Fi enabled with state of art computer
equipments, application lab and ERP facilities. The air conditioned classrooms equipped with LCD projectors,
OHP and other audio visual equipments facilitate effective learning by students beyond the classroom:

experience and exposure to the corporate practices and functional nuances by interacting with the professional
executives. This keeps ITMites ahead of their counterparts and at pace with real time practitioners. This
significantly supplements the classroom learning. They are motivated to undertake as many concurrent projects
and internship in the industry without prejudice to their academic program.
