3. Where she came from Alice Malsenior Walker was born on February 9, 1944, in a loving home in Eatonton, Georgia. Her Parents are Willie Lee Walker and Minnie Lou Tallulah Grant Walker (Photo) Walker enrolled at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1961, where she became involved in the civil rights movement. Walker transferred to Sarah Lawrence College in 1964, where she made the commitment to become a writer!
