purchased the company Android Inc. in 2005.

White and Nick Sears started developing Android in

But this was a failure and Google decided to buy android in
2005. Google developed the original android O/S with some

Speculation about Google's intention to enter the mobile communications market
continued to build through December 2006.
At Google, the team led by Rubin developed a mobile device platform, i.e. Android
Operating System.
Google marketed the platform to handset makers on the promise of providing a

8. 1st commercial edition Android 1.0 was launched in 2008. HTC Dream G1 was the
1st smart phone with an android O/S.
Several versions of Android have introduced since then and they were named after
