2. About Our Company Terry founded Milne Scali & Company Insurance Services (MSC) in October of 1990 in Phoenix, Arizona, The agency was a start up company funded with $130,000. Terry stayed with the company as President and CEO of the Insurance operations and joined the Board of Directors of BNCCORP . By 3/1/05, when Terry resigned from the Board of Directors to pursue his own business interests, MSC had grown to over $210 million in sales and over $17 million in commission revenues with pretax net income in excess of 25% under Terry’s leadership. 2/1/06 Terry acquired certain assets of both National Commercial Insurance & Surety Specialists, Inc. and Mike Lapre Insurance Agency . Mike Lapre & Terry merged these two agencies together to form Lapre Scali & Company Insurance Services, LLC . 09/01/06 - Lapre Scali now has 42 employees and does business in all 50 states. From June of 2006 thru June of 2007, Lapre Scali grew to 52 employees and added two additional locations by acquistion. Jeff Johnson and his two agencies - Black Canyon Insurance and Cordes Lakes Insurance - joined the Lapre Scali team effective 1/1/07 and 5/1/07 respectively. 9/1/07 Lapre Scali acquired the assets of Peoria Insurance Agency. 10/1/07 AJS Insurance Services, headquartered in Lake Havasu City, owned and managed by Rick Stephens for over 35 years has merged with Lapre Scali & Company. AJS has three office locations in Kingman, Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City, AZ. Upon the completion of the AJS merger, the combined operations of Lapre Scali include 117 colleagues in 8 locations with annual sales in excess of $100 million and operating revenues in excess of $12,500,000. During the last quarter of 2007, Nancy Kozloski-Rausch, Ron Cadaret and Tony Scali (all three former partners with Terry Scali) joined Lapre Scali as Senior Vice Presidents, producers, and partners/owners. 1/1/08 Lapre Scali acquired the assets of All In 1 Insurance at 63rd Ave & Bell Rd in Glendale, Arizona. Christopher Lee continues to manage this office along with his entire staff. Lapre Scali now has 9 offices and over 120 colleagues throughout Arizona. 3/1/08 On March 1, 2008, John Stathis & Lee Jones, owners of Arizona Associated Agencies with locations in Scottsdale, Douglas, Bisbee, Sierra Vista, and Nogales Arizona , have merged the assets of their agencies and joined with Lapre Scali & Company. All 14 of the employees of Arizona Associated Agencies have agreed to become employed by Lapre Scali & Company. Lapre Scali & Company now has 13 offices and over 130 colleagues throughout Arizona. 4/1/08 Lapre Scali has been awarded broker of record for the nationwide CBS Chiropractors Professional Liability risk purchasing group program. The program insures over 6,500 Chiropractors across all 50 states. Denise Hockman has joined Lapre Scali and will lead a team of 10 agents and underwriters to service the needs of these clients. 6/1/08, Dan Talerico and his staff have established the Tucson branch for Lapre Scali & Company. 7/1/08 Lapre Scali acquired the insurance clients of First National Bank Insurance Agency. Those clients are now handled through the Scottsdale office of Lapre Scali by Meg Thomas. 8/1/08 Lapre Scali acquired a book of insurance clients and supporting staff members as well as an office location in Prescott Valley. 10/1/08 Steve Hay (former partner with Terry) and Mike Kohler have joined Lapre Scali as senior vice presidents and partners. Steve & Mike are well known construction specialists and they bring their clients and service team capabilities to the agency including Brad Rhodes contract analyst and Wayne Johnson loss control specialist. Ruben & Roxana Lopez have merged their Rio Rico insurance office with Lapre Scali. 3. About Our Company 1982 Mike joined Farmers Insurance Group of Companies as a franchised agency owner. The agency focus on personal lines insurance products along with a heavy focus on commercial insurance for Auto Dealers & Contracting risks. 1984 Along with operating the Farmers Insurance agency, Mike established a separate Surety & Specialty Commercial Lines Insurance Agency known as Lapre Insurance & Surety, this division focused on heavy Surety needs of the contracting industry, and the small license & permits needs of all other types of business owners. This division also focused on a specialty program for the Auto Dealer & Heavy Equipment Dealer Industry. The Surety and other programs were expanded to a national level in 1996, at which time Mike became licensed in all 50 states. This surety agency is currently one of the largest surety agencies in the United States . In April of 2000, Mike sold back his Farmers Insurance franchise to the company, and formed National Commercial Insurance & Surety Specialists, Inc. This agency was a full lines agency that focused on both personal and commercial lines of insurance. In January of 2006, Mike joined forces with Terrence M Scali, a well know and highly respected member of the insurance industry to form Lapre Scali & Company Insurance Services, LLC . The assets of both of Mike’s prior agencies were combined with those of Terrence Scali’s to form this new dynamic agency that will continue to focus on Insurance & Surety needs for commercial and personal lines accounts. 4. About Our Company D. Gail Sexton, CIC, CISR Commercial Insurance Account Executive Gail Sexton is a 33 year veteran professional agent in the insurance industry. She started her career as an Account Manager servicing her clients in Kansas. Upon moving to Arizona in 1991 she has worked with contractors, manufacturers, hospitals, attorney firms, and high risk products companies. Gail got her Certified Insurance Service Representative designation in 1994 and her Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1995 and is currently working on her Certified Risk Management Designation. In 2007 Gail became an Account Executive with LeBaron & Carroll and joined Lapre Scali & Company Insurance Services in 2009. She has been a proud member of the AWCC of Arizona and works with both drywall and plastering contractors in Arizona and belongs to the National Association of Professional Women. Cassandra Craig, CIC Vice President – Commercial Insurance Cassandra is a working partner with Lapre Scali & Company. She began her insurance career in 1992 for a large brokerage firm where she specialized in writing insurance for municipalities such as Cities, Counties and State Universities. Upon moving to Arizona in 1994, Cassandra worked at a local agency for 12 years writing insurance for a variety of businesses including large manufacturing firms, multi location retail operations and construction companies. Cassandra then joined Lapre Scali & Company in 2006 and since that time has broadened her focus to also include large property investment groups and software development industry. Cassandra belongs to the National Association of Insurance Women, the National Association of Female Executives and has her Certified Insurance Counselor designation. Cassandra was recently selected for the Phoenix Metropolitan ara Forty Under 40 award through the Phoenix Business Journal.
