2. Our media product is a teaser trailer based on an established trend of
football. It focuses on tricks ,tactics and moves developed by young
footballers. It also shows that any common person can become a footballer
and that you don’t need to be rich to have talent or be successful in this field.
It hold s a documentary like structure which helps the audience to engage
and connect to the story and feel.
After analysing teaser trailers of documentary type films it
came to our attention that most of them are usually only
addressing the topic without keeping in mind that the
purpose of a film is mainly to entertain the audience.
In our trailer we haven't used narration, because the format
of the trailer is self explanatory.
The trailer of our film doesn’t give out the plot and has
exclusive footage which was shot only for the trailer.
3. 2. Our media product represents teenage boys
and their deep interest in football.
Football is the most played sport in western
countries and has a lot of fan following in
Britain.
Our media product encourages talent and
healthy well being.
It also promotes the sports industry and helps
teenagers to focus on their interests and helps
them to stay away from self destructive habits
eg drinking smoking and drugs.
4. 3. Since our media product is in a video form a
producer would buy its rights and distribute it
to the theatre once the product completed it
wouldn’t be hard to convince a producer as our
product alongside being a reality check is an
entertaining piece of hard work and
commitment.
Our chosen institution is Columbia pictures
because it has produced films like karate kid,
bad boys, Ghostbuster , men in black and
spider man
5. 4. The target audience would be teenagers
primarily as it revolves around teenage sports.
The teaser primarily focuses on football, a sport
which is usually associated with boys.
It may also however be of interest to girls as
football has become an international sport
appreciated on a mass scale.
Football players are treated like celebrities as
they act as role models to many.
6. 5. To promote our media product we launched
websites/promos and trailers which are
advertised along with popular teenage shows.
Also in our product we used a university
campus to emphasize the youth.
The clothes and the language of the characters
add depth to the product and attract our target
audience.
With the football clothing and trainers we
promoted. The football teams further.
7. 6. During the production of our product we
learned about camera codes and conventions
and editing techniques and also experienced
team work and division of labour.
For the preliminary task we used a normal
digital camera which did not produce high
quality clips so for the main task we used a HD
camcorder which gave good results.
