Curricular Statement : Creating an easy way to learn grammar. 
Learning Outcomes : The learner is , 
> understanding the concept very well. 
> remembering relative grammar items. 
> applying new rhymes in new situations. 
> analyzing many examples. 
> creating a positive attitude towards grammar. 
> trying to create similar rhymes. 
Pre-requisites : The leaner may know about adjectives. 
Teaching learning resources : Course book, source book, chart, pictures.
Classroom Interaction Procedure Pupils response 
Informal interaction : 
The teacher initiates an informal interaction with the pupils and tries to 
sustain the interest throughout the class. 
Good morning. 
How are you? 
Have you had your breakfast? 
Do you like poems? 
Have you ever heard rhymes? 
Can anybody sing a song? 
Entry Activity: 
The teacher creates a mental readiness in pupils by giving some pictures. 
Based on the pictures teacher divides them into four groups. The four pictures 
represents Big dog, Green frog, Red rose and Young man. The teacher asks simple 
questions like , 
> What is the speciality of these pictures? 
> Did you get any idea about it? 
Ok. Now I will introduce a small rhyme. The teacher presents a chart which 
contain a small rhyme. / /

Adjectives describe nouns.

Green house, clean air. 
One mouse, brown hair, 
Sweet cake, blue car, 
Good friend, sticky jar. 
How do things taste? 
How do things smell? 
How do things look? 
How many can you tell? 
Big dog, young man, 
Green frog, rusty can. 
How do things taste? 
How do things smell? 
How do things look? 
How many can you tell? 
How do things feel? 
How do things sound? 
Adjectives describe nouns.
Model reading by the teacher 
Teacher recites the poem with good sound, rhythm and intonation. 
Pupils reading 
Teacher asks the pupils to recite the poem in their own tune. The students 
recites the poem again and again. Thus they get the idea about adjective and they 
can pick out many examples for adjective from the poem. 
Review questions 
> What is an adjective? 
> Can you say some examples of adjectives? 
Follow-up activity 
Create your own grammar song.

  • 1. INNOVATIVE LESSON PLAN Name of the teacher trainee : Deepthi Rani H.S. Standard: VIII Subject : English Strength : Topic : Adjectives Period : Duration : 20 Minutes Date : Curricular Statement : Creating an easy way to learn grammar. Learning Outcomes : The learner is , > understanding the concept very well. > remembering relative grammar items. > applying new rhymes in new situations. > analyzing many examples. > creating a positive attitude towards grammar. > trying to create similar rhymes. Pre-requisites : The leaner may know about adjectives. Teaching learning resources : Course book, source book, chart, pictures.
  • 2. Classroom Interaction Procedure Pupils response Informal interaction : The teacher initiates an informal interaction with the pupils and tries to sustain the interest throughout the class. Good morning. How are you? Have you had your breakfast? Do you like poems? Have you ever heard rhymes? Can anybody sing a song? Entry Activity: The teacher creates a mental readiness in pupils by giving some pictures. Based on the pictures teacher divides them into four groups. The four pictures represents Big dog, Green frog, Red rose and Young man. The teacher asks simple questions like , > What is the speciality of these pictures? > Did you get any idea about it? Ok. Now I will introduce a small rhyme. The teacher presents a chart which contain a small rhyme. / / / *
  • 3. Adjectives Adjectives describe nouns. Adjectives, Adjectives, Adjectives describe nouns. Green house, clean air. One mouse, brown hair, Sweet cake, blue car, Good friend, sticky jar. How do things taste? How do things smell? How do things look? How many can you tell? Big dog, young man, Green frog, rusty can. How do things taste? How do things smell? How do things look? How many can you tell? How do things feel? How do things sound? Adjectives describe nouns.
  • 4. Model reading by the teacher Teacher recites the poem with good sound, rhythm and intonation. Pupils reading Teacher asks the pupils to recite the poem in their own tune. The students recites the poem again and again. Thus they get the idea about adjective and they can pick out many examples for adjective from the poem. Review questions > What is an adjective? > Can you say some examples of adjectives? Follow-up activity Create your own grammar song.
