If you are thinking about a move abroad to live and work overseas in France then you may first want
to know what types of jobs are available for expatriates living and working in France. You might be
surprised to see that it is not a simple process to get a job comparable to a job you had in your home
country. In fact, it is pretty difficult to find a job period as a foreigner in France. However, there are
some jobs that seem to be filled with mostly foreigners, so you should check into one of those

That too, is easier than you think. How do I know? Because that's were I've gone. In 2002, the
company my husband was working for cut a whole divisionand transfered him. For me, that meant I
had to leave my teaching job mid year and we moved across the state. If anyone has done this, you
know it can be very hard to find a new position. So I started looking for other options, and found a
myriad.
I've been working at Clawson Motorsports for 10 years. My job entails sales management and
customer relations. I love helping our customers find just the right vehicle that puts a smile on their

fishing, riding and enjoy hot rods. My daughter is another joy in my life.
2. This is an important question that you should ask yourself before you ask someone else to hire you!

Life isn't a bed of roses. It's important that you realize that problems can happen along the way. It's
possible that you don't land the perfect job right away. It's also possible that you don't find a nice
house immediately. Or that you are not able to adjust to the new environment as easily as you
expected. Being mentally prepared for such scenarios will help you cope with the difficulties more
effectively. Of course, you don't have to instill in your mind that these problems will all happen.
There's a big difference between realistic expectations and negative thinking. The latter won't help
you at all.
When looking for a job, don't rely only on job ads as if there are obvious gaps in experience and
skills, you are not likely to be called for an interview. Try to approach people in the industry directly;
ask them for advice and the opportunity to show your commitment.
