Vision: a Santa Cruz County in which every
community member has some form of safe
shelter, and where homelessness is a rare
occurrence.
Mission: to improve the way Santa Cruz County
works collaboratively to reduce and ultimately
end homelessness.

1. Create broader and more diverse community engagement
2. Improve public understanding of the realities of homelessness
3. Foster community dialog on homelessness
4. Develop better communication & coordination
5. Share information about successful models and solutions
6. Sustain a diverse community leadership group to shape policies
7. Develop a shared vision for change and agreed-up action steps

180/180 Campaign Highlights
System
180/180 worked with the Housing
Authority of Santa Cruz County to create
an exception to their Section 8 waiting list
process; a new housing subsidy voucher
preference for disabled and medically
vulnerable homeless persons
• Our monthly housing placement rate has
more than doubled - from an average of 3
during first 6 months to 9 in 2013 and most
recently… May: 13, June: 13, July: 15!!!
• At 10 / month we can meet and exceed
our 180 goal by July 2014

  • 11. Leadership Council Vision & Mission Vision: a Santa Cruz County in which every community member has some form of safe shelter, and where homelessness is a rare occurrence. Mission: to improve the way Santa Cruz County works collaboratively to reduce and ultimately end homelessness.

Professional Case Managers link clients to primary care, behavioral health care, and substance abuse treatment using a Housing First approach. …connecting participants with supportive services that help increase housing retention by addressing substance abuse, mental illness and chronic health issues.
