- Windows 7 is Microsoft's next release of Windows, intended as an incremental upgrade to Vista with a focus on multi-touch support, performance improvements, and a redesigned user interface.
- New features in Windows 7 include advances in touch, speech, and handwriting recognition, support for multiple graphics cards, and improvements to media and scripting features. The taskbar and control panel were also redesigned.
- Some features were removed from Windows 7, such as the taskbar toolbar, pinning of default programs, and Windows Sidebar gadgets. Support was also dropped for some applications.
