British Medical Association (BMA) Medical Book Award Reviewer: Review books for the
annual BMA Medical book award regularly 2007-2014
QNCC Lead Evaluator: The Quality Network for Community CAMHS (QNCC) is a Royal
College of psychiatrists member’s network which works with professionals from health,
social services, education and the voluntary sector to improve the quality of CAMHS
services. It is a quality improvement method by peer review. I had a honorary contract
with the Royal College to lead the teams for review of different Child Psychiatry teams
and have reviewed Child and Adolescent Services in Mid Wales and North Wales. 2010-
2014. From 2007 to 2010 I was a member of the QNCC committee team.
Medical member of Social and Disability tribunal (England and Wales): I was a medical
member as part of my judicial role employed by the Ministry of Justice. Along with a
judge, We heard appeals from individuals as part of their social security benefit claims
and disability claims. 2010-2014
Medical member of Mental Health Review Tribunal (England and Wales) : I am a medical
member as part of my judicial role employed by the Ministry of Justice to sit in tribunals
for patients detained under mental health Act to review patient appeals against Mental
Health Act detention along with a Judge and lay member 2012-2014.

Junior Residents: I was an Educational Supervisor and Supervising Trainer for junior residents.
As part of my Clinical Supervising trainer role, I supervised residents in General
Psychiatry training during their placement in child psychiatry training within my team
during a 6 month period. I coordinated their curriculum needs and planned their training
including regular structured assessments. As part of my educational supervisor role, I
had a role in coordinating trainee interests with opportunities available throughout their
training period and provide mediating role in handling any concerns of trainees and
trainers. It provided me an opportunity to provide career guidance and I have had
success in attracting trainees for further specialisation in child psychiatry. I take extra
interest in helping trainees pass their membership exams with structured focused

residents who are specialising in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I am involved in
