11. 1. Impromptu Speech Contest
1. Key Stage of Contestants: Every Key Stage, 1 student per level per school
2. The Competition Process:
- Each student in each level will draw 2 topics at a time and choose only one.
- After having the topic, each student takes 5 minutes for preparation before starting the speech.

*The student whose speech is not relevant to the topic chosen must be deleted his/her content’s points.*

12. 2. Spelling Bee
1. Key Stage of Contestants: Every Key Stage, 2 students per level per school
2. Competition Process and the Judging Criteria: There are 2 rounds of the competition.
First Round: (Total Score : 100 Points)
- The judge pronounces each word and the sentence with the word used two times.
- The contestant spells that word by writing on the paper.
- There are 20 words in the first round, each word costs 5 points. The contestant who can get 50
points up at the end of the first round will go further to the final round.
Final Round: (No limited total Scores)
Each contestant must draw for the ordinal number and stand in front of the judge in row according to
that number
For the students in Key Stage 1, 2, and 3 (P1-3,P4-6,M1-3)
1. The judge sees each contestant one by one. Then he/she pronounces each word only once,
together with sentence with the word used, and the student in front of the judge spells that
word orally.
2. Any contestant who can spell each word given correctly within 10 seconds will walk to stand at
the back of the row in order to join another round but the one who spells the word given
wrong or takes longer time than 10 seconds is considered ‘fail’ and has to walk out of the row.
3. The last contestant who can stand in the row is the winner.
For the students in Key Stage 4 (M4-6)
1. The judge sees each contestant one by one and pronounces each word only once. Then the
contestant in front of the judge is allowed to ask 2 questions, as the following:
Question 1: What part of speech is it?
Question 2: Can I have a sentence, please?
2. After the judge has already answered both questions, that student is supposed to spell that
word orally within 10 seconds.
3. Any student who can spell each word given correctly within the limited time will walk to stand
at the back of the row in order to join in another round but the one who spells the word given
wrong or takes longer time than 10 seconds is considered ‘fail’ and has to walk out of the row.
4. The last student who can stand in the row is the winner.
3. Schools participating in this competition shall be given the Vocabulary list that will be used in
the competition in order that their students can prepare themselves before the competition day.
Level of Vocabulary used in each level (according to the Vocabulary list given) :
Level 1(P1-3 ) : Vocabulary used in Grade 1 -2
Level 2(P4-6) : Vocabulary used in Grade 3 -4
Level 3(M1-3) : Vocabulary used in Grade 5 -6
Level 4(M4-6) : Vocabulary used in Grade 7 -8

13. 3. Story-telling Contest
1. Key Stage of Contestants: Key Stage P.4-6, M.1-3, M.4-6 1 student per level per school

- Correct story-telling style/form and organizing 10 points
- The Moral from the story 10 points
4.2 Language Competence : 60 points
- Using correct vocabulary and structure which are suitable for that age level 20 points
- Pronunciation Ability 20 points
- Using impressive tones, moods, and gestures suitable for the content 20 points
4.3 Time keeping 5 points
- Being able to tell the story within the time limit
**Remarks : -Each contestant must wear his/her school’s uniform.
-Each contestant must make 5 copies of his/her story for 5 judges.
-The contestants are not allowed to use any equipment while telling the story.
5. Judgments: Gold Medal : 80-100 points
Silver Medal : 70-79 points
Bronze Medal : 60-69 points

14. 4. Multi Skills Competition
1. Key Stage of Contestants: Key Stage P.4-6, M.1-M.3 and M.4-6 1 student per level per school
2. Competition Process, Time Limitation and the Judging Criteria:.
All the contestants are supposed to do the English Proficiency Test which covers all 4 language skills
(Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing), plusing the Picture Dictation, for the whole 100 points as
the following details:
2.1. English Proficiency Test
- Listening Skill Test : 20 items : 20 minutes
- Reading Skill Test : 20 questions : 20 minutes
- Writing Skill Test 30 minutes
(Write a composition according to the given topic of Impromptu Speech with the number of words
used controlled
P.4-6 : not fewer than 100 words,
M.1-3 : not fewer than150 words
M.4-.6 : not fewer than 200 words
2.2. Speaking Skill Test by Interviewing with the time limit as follows :
P.4-6 : 2-3 minutes each
M.1-M.3 : 5 minutes each
M.4-M.6 : 7 minutes each
The interviewing skills cover:
- Language-Use Ability,
- Solving-Problem Ability and Creative-thinking Ability
2.3. Picture Dictation 30 minutes
- The Native English judge reads the provided passage 2 times for all the contestants.
- While listening to the passage, the contestants are allowed to take notes.
- As soon as the second-round reading finishes, each contestant starts drawing a picture
according to the details of the content heard from the passage within 30 minutes.
- The judges evaluate each picture from its correctness and completeness of the content.

Silver Medal : 70-79 points
Bronze Medal : 60-69 points

15. 5. Skit Competition
1. Key Stage of Contestants: Key Stage P.4-6 ,M.1-3 and M.4-6 a team of 5 students per level per school
2. Time limit for Competition :
P.4-6 : 5 minutes ± 30 seconds
M.1- 3and M.4-6 : 10 minutes ± 30 seconds
- The team that takes every 30 seconds more or less than the time limit must be 1 point deleted.
- Time spending for the props (stage) preparation is not more than 5 minutes.
(Must be prepared by only the competitors)

- Each team must make 5 copies of their script for 5 judges.
- Each team must draw for the ordinal number of each show.

16. 6. Singing Contest
1. Key Stage of Contestants: Every Key Stage, 1 student per level per school
2. Song for the Contest: An English song composed by King Bhumibhol
3. Equipment for the Competition:
- Each contestant prepares his/her own backing track CD.
- Each contestant must make 5 copies of his/her lyric for 5 judges.
- Each contestant must wear his/her school’s uniform.
4. Judging Criteria (Total Score : 50 Points)
4.1 Singing Ability : 25 points
- Tone (Voice power & Sound beauty) 15 points
- Correct rhythm and tempo 10 points
4.2 Correctness of Lines and Words 15 points

17. 7. Project Work Competition
1. Key Stage of Contestants: P.4-6 , M.1-3 and M.4-6, no more than 2 teams per level per school
( one for Math Project and the other one for Science Project)
Each team has no more than 3 students.
2. Topic for the Competition : Must be about either Science or Mathematics content.
3. Time limit for Competition :

P.4-6 3-5 minutes ± 30 seconds
M.1-3 7-10 minutes ± 30 seconds
M.4-6 7-10minutes ± 30 seconds
**Judges will ask each team 3-5 questions regarding the project.
(The questioning time will not be counted in the time limit.)

18. 8. Debate Competition
1. Key Stage of Contestants: Key Stage M.1-3 and M.4-6 a team of 3 students per level per school
2. Time limit for Competition : within 12 minutes for 1 team, as the following:
- The Leader of each team takes first 4 minutes.
- Each member of each team takes another 3 minutes each.
- The Leader takes about 1-2 more minute for the conclusion.
(5 minutes taken for Preparation before the debate starts won’t be counted.)
3. Motion for the Debate:
Round 1 “Are we ready to be part of ASEAN community?”
Round 2 “Is it beneficial for Thai people to be part of ASEAN community?”
4. Details about the competition:
4.1 After registration each team must draw to find their matching team.
4.2 Each pair of teams draws again to know whether to be either the PRO or the CON team.
5 Equipments used in the competition:
- All competitors prepare their own writing equipments.
- The competition committee prepares all the paper necessary for the judges’ taking notes.
6 Judging Criteria (Total Score : 100 Points)
6.1 The Content: the point of issue, the argument point 15 points
6.2 Factual Information: together with its reliable reasons 15 points
