An NCIS: Los Angeles cross-over event, an entanglement with Wo Fat, and a boxing match were the

Joe called in a friend to help decipher the video footage of Steve's dad, the former Governor, and Wo
Fat. It was Kensi from NCIS: Los Angeles, an old friend of Joe's. She was able
to use her skills as a lip-reader to decipher some of what had
been said in that meeting. A name came up that had no meaning to either Joe or Steve but that was
probably a key piece of information in the case. Later, Wo Fat made an appearance at Joe's, trying to
kill him. The two struggled, and Joe was nearly strangled, but managed to get away. Wo Fat ran
from his house before Joe could get to a knife and take him out. But not before asking Wo Fat what
the name Kensi deciphered meant. He didn't answer, but the look in his eyes said it was a very
important clue. The following day, Joe called Steve to Mokoto's home; he had been killed. It seems
they're getting close to the truth. Joe warned Steve it may be time to back off, but Steve is more
determined than ever to keep digging and find out the truth.
Steve was also busy working on solving the case of a murdered restaurant owner. The man owned a
popular local chain of restaurants and was found dead in his pool, tied to a chair, and shot in the
head. His house had been ransacked. It appeared he was the latest victim of a series of thefts in
which the families were tied up while a gun was pointed to the head of one of the parents for
leverage. Only in this case, the man had been home alone. It turned out the robbery was a cover-up
to pin the murder on the other group of robbers, who worked at a chain of valet parking services at
each of the restaurants in the chain. The real culprit ended up being the victim's brother-in-law, who
was upset over a dispute the two had had in regards to the family business.
During the investigation, the team learned that the victim's sister and the perpetrator's wife had left
the restaurant side of the business to take over a string of gyms they owned to help keep kids off of
the street. One of them grew up and was a boxer, and left the gym when he wanted to turn pro and
take advantage of sponsorships being offered to himÂ--a deal that the owner didn't like. The boxer
became a suspect, and during the chase, Steve dislocated the man's shoulder. After the boxer was
cleared, the team found out he was to have participated in a fundraising match for the gym. Feeling
2. guilty for having caused the injury, Steve took the man's place in the ring. The match was, to say the
least, not a draw.
After all of the hype that had been built up over this cross-over episode of NCIS: Los Angeles and
Hawaii Five-0, viewers didn't get much out of itÂ--only a very brief scene with Kensi, Joe, and Steve.
Perhaps it was only to introduce the two shows to one another, and future cross-overs will take
place. Another relationship between the two shows was established: Steve knows NCIS: Los Angeles'
Sam from when Sam was a SEAL. Perhaps he'll appear in a future episode, or vice versa. NCIS: Los
Angeles will air on Tuesday at 9/8c on CBS.
Tune in to CBS next Monday at 10/9c for a special Halloween episode of Hawaii Five-0 with special
guest star Robert Englund, Freddy Krueger himself!
