What you must know
Duane Morris Vietnam LLC was retained by TCP Asia Pacific Co., Ltd (“TCP”) to advise and
assist with the company’s US$400 million worth of solar projects in Myanmar. TCP is planning
to build and operate 6 Solar power plants with a combined power generation output of 420 MW
there. We advised TCP on the preparation of all project related agreements, ranging from tax,
insurance, corporate to licensing agreements. We are holding the signed and sealed Power
Purchase Agreements in our hands which have been accepted by all relevant Line Authorities
and Ministries and the Myanmar Government.
We have advised many clients on renewable energy projects, for example EAB on one of the
very first privately financed Wind Energy Power Purchase Agreements for a wind power project
in Vietnam. We have also advised Prolignis on a biomass power plant for a production company
in Hanoi. This new project for TCP will be our highlight renewable energy project in Myanmar.
