7. Things to Do Scrutiny’s role is to act as a vehicle to enable young people, to ask questions on how decisions have been made, to consider whether service improvements can be put in place and make recommendations. Scrutiny?

9. Research Proposed points Feedback questions YOF/YouthBank applications- successful and unsuccessful- match against crime hot spots? This will demonstrate what the demand for specific activities/services are in areas, as well as to activities actually available. Each local authority has to have an Activities Directory- a whats on guide for youth activities., usually on the council’s youth website. Our key questions: how are young people involved, frequency of being updated, how the directory is promoted outside of council communication? Existing local consultation of positive activities, youth inspections reports How Local Authorities are doing with their LAA targets eg. NI 110 Officers - meet with Head of Positive Activities (different job title in different authorities) but essentially the old head of youth service. Find out what the issues are, how D/MYPs can help champion this
