Romania.

Kevin is a passionate person with a never ending quest to learn and teach, who’s
overwhelming professional background formed an inspiring speaker and mentor.
There is no theory in Kevin’s approach, it all comes from acquired knowledge in
business and as a volunteer in the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary. He has
“suffered” the scars of “on-the-street” learning, as well as the reward of
entrepreneurial leadership and is a an enthusiastic people driven business leader.
Kevin is currently Vice President - Worldwide Sales & Marketing at Endurance Wind Power ,
Principal at Kevin Heaney Consulting , Member of the GrowthPoint Group Board of Directors and

Senior Executive Business experience in Marketing, Sales, Operations, Business
Development and General Management, world wide. Bob is here to teach us

Roberto Lazarov

WHY ROBERTO
Roberto is a young entrepreneur with an excellent academic background in both
Spain and Romania, and an impressive business experience. He is currently in
charge of several local and international business projects in various activity
areas, such as: Internet sales (“win-win-win” online deals), M&A consultancy
services, renewable energy (PV), TV production, new media and many others.
Roberto’s work is governed by ambition, ethics and innovation, all that with a
strong focus on time and capital management.
He is currently the CEO of FunDeal Romania, a very successful e-commerce business, a partner
at FGB Asesores and, also, strategically involved in a few other companies.

Ada Roseti
Channel Director South Eastern Europe, Discovery Networks CEEMEA
Ada joined Discovery Networks as Channel Manager for Romania in January 2008.
Her attributions later on extended to Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia and
since the beginning of 2011, she has been promoted to Channel Director for South
Eastern Europe, comprising of Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia,
Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Albania and Macedonia. She supervises the
programming, marketing and on-air presentation of Discovery portfolio of channels
in these markets.
Before joining Discovery, Ada was Head of Acquisitions, Sales, Subtitling and
Programming at the Romanian Public Television (TVR). She has also worked in
acquisitions and program planning for National TV and Prima TV. She began her
career as a radio host at PRO FM, and then worked as the host and producer of a
movie magazine show on Pro TV. She has also contributed to various TV and radio
programes about the movie industry and is regularly invited to film events in
Romania. She teaches "writing for television" for a master degree at the University
of Bucharest.

Sergiu Negut
Deputy CEO, REGINA MARIA, The Private Healthcare Network
Sergiu Negut has been the Deputy CEO of REGINA MARIA, The Private Healthcare
Network for the last six years. During this period, Mr. Negut coordinated, together
with CEO, a growing healthcare business and an expanding team of professionals,
so that REGINA MARIA, The Private Healthcare Network is now the largest private
medical network in Romania.
Sergiu Negut has an extensive experience in general management, across
different industries (healthcare, pharmaceuticals, commodities) and business
development, including M&A and startups.

Catalin Velescu
Managing Director 3M Romania
Catalin Velescu has a background in Physics Technology-Engineering from the
University of Bucharest and an EMBA in Business Administration – University of
Washington, Seattle.
Catalin has started his career at 3M in 1996 and held a number of business
assignments with increased responsibility within the Electrical Markets Division of
the local subsidiary. Since 2005 has held business management positions such
as Business Development Manager for the Communication Markets Division,
Central East Europe and later assignment as Business Development Manager
Electronic Solutions Division for EMEA region.

Gilda Lazar
Head of Corporate Affairs & Communications for Romania and Moldova,
Member of the Executive Committee of Japan Tobacco International (JTI)
Gilda is one of the most prominent figures in corporate and public sector in
Romania. She is the Head of Corporate Affairs & Communications for Romania and
Moldova and a Member of the Executive Committee of Japan Tobacco Interna-
tional (JTI), with main responsibilities in the area of Government Relations &
Regulatory Affairs, Public Affairs & Media Relations, Community Relations/CSR,
Internal Communications, Corporate Branding as well as Consumer Relations. She
is also a Lecturer on Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Affairs at the
Faculty of Letters, Masters on Communications - University of Bucharest.
Gilda received a significant number of community involvement honours - the “Award for civic
responsibility” offered by “AlegRO Foundation, “Best Corporate Citizen” awarded by BBW to JTI
Romania or “People for People” diploma for “Community programs” awarded by AmCham and
Romanian Association for Community Relations. Gilda’s professional activity also came through
various honours: Best woman journalist in Romania 1995, Honorary and Excellency Diplomas for
social responsibility, awarded by the City Council etc.

Dr. Raed Arafat
Founder of Mobile Emergency Service for Resuscitation and Extrication (SMURD),
Secretary of State for Public Health in Romania.
Raed is a charismatic leader who is passionate by emergency medicine since the
age of 14. His work shows a model of ambition and determination, because he
completed his personal and professional goals in spite of the socio-political cha-
llenges which he encountered. He treasures and protects life, and he made a huge
difference in the Romanian health sector, showing that change is worth fighting for.
In 1991, he created SMURD, which began collaborating with the Romanian
Firefighting Service and the Fire Service of Scotland, working for it as a volunteer
until 1998, when he gained Romanian citizenship.
He was also a first aid instructor, he coordinated international niche lectures in
several countries (including Austria, Denmark, Greece, the Netherlands, New
Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States). In
2003, he was awarded the title of Knight of the National Order of Merit of Romania
(also a Grand Officer since 2005). In 2010 he was invited to be a proffesor at the
University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Victor Babes" Timisoara.

Dan Pascariu
President of UniCredit Tiriac Bank
Dan Pascariu is one of the prominent names of the Romanian banking industry.
He began his career in the Romanian Bank for Foreign Trade in 1973, he handled
all relationships with correspondent banks and was responsible for negotiating
foreign loans granted to Romania in the second half of the 1970s.
During 1989 until 2007 he held executive possitions in Romanian Bank for Foreign
Trade, Bucharest Bank (later known as Alpha Bank) and CEO of the Board of Bank
Austria Creditanstalt – Romania.
In June 2007, following the merger of HVB Bank Romania, "Ion Tiriac" Bank and
Romania UniCredit Bank, he was appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of
UniCredit Tiriac Bank (member of UniCredit Group).
In 1991 he founded the Romanian Banking Association, being its first President
and one of the promoters of banking reforms in Romania. He was also co-founder
and associate professor of The Romanian Banking Institute.
He is an Eisenhower Fellow to Romania, class of 1991.
