10. USING SLIDESHARE IN YOUR ONLINE COURSES
SlideShare can be utilized to reinforce learning objectives within an online
course because of the ability to collaborate on multiple levels (visual,
auditory, and tactile).
If used, can and will increase student success and interest in the course.
According to Palloff and Pratt, "Some attributes make students
successful online...able to think ideas through before responding and
feel that high quality learning can take place without going to a
traditional classroom". (p. 8)
Visually very inviting to the student. This is my own (Lena) personal
opinion, "Just adding banners to the course creates a much more
inviting space and warm atmosphere".
