from the market. There is, in most tech
companies at least, an almost
irresistible force which drags you to
areas which fall out of your original
plan.
Imagine a Formula 1 car trying to win the race and at the same time pit
stopping in every lap. That’s what many companies try to do. Not easy to win
the race that way, is it?
Frotcom International listens to the market, of course. How could we not?
Customers are always our priority. But once a plan is defined, it cannot be
changed every month.
It is paramount to be able to distinguish between market trends, which must
be followed closely, and market fads, which are usually short term hypes
which can take you off course.
In the fleet telematics business, we have had many such fads. And many more
will come. In the end, I believe, there is one question which must be asked about
any new gadget, accessory or service. It is, sort of speak, the acid test: “Will this
add real value to our clients?”
If it doesn’t, no matter how fancy and glowing it may appear, we can be sure
that it is a fad. These are the pit stops to avoid.

According to Mr. Panicos Palochis, Plant Manager at Cybarco, “We have
installed Frotcom Vehicle Tracking System on all 50 double cabs allocated to all
foremen and lower class employees, machine operators and laborers. The
immediate results observed were a drastic decrease in the usage both during
normal working hours but also and most important during after-hours and
weekends/public holidays, in the region of 8-10% of the total kms travelled. This
in effect is more than 50% of the non-working hour’s utilization.
The prime advantage of Frotcom vehicle

Frotcom International - in a continuous effort
to promote sustainable events
On 20-22 June the Rio+20 Conference will present world
leaders the opportunity to create a new paradigm of
sustainable lifestyles for the rich and poor alike, as well as
for everyone in between. It will mark the 20th anniversary
of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment
and Development (UNCED), in Rio de Janeiro, and the 10th
anniversary of the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable
Development (WSSD) in Johannesburg.
The objective of the conference is to secure renewed
political commitment for sustainable development,
assess progress and implementation gaps in summit
outcomes on sustainable development and address new
and emerging challenges. Furthermore, it will focus on
two themes: 1. a green economy in the context of
sustainable development and poverty eradication and 2. the institutional
framework for sustainable development. For more information about this
tremendous event visit the official website at: http://www.uncsd2012.org/rio20.
