WebPA uses student marks to generate a WebPA score for each student in the group. These scores show their relative contribution to the project. Tutors generate individual marks by setting a WebPA weighting when they generate a "mark sheet".
This slidedeck works through an example showing the effect of different WebPA weightings.
13. 50% WebPA weighting
• Student1 score is then
– (50% X 60) + (50% x1.67 X 60) = 80
• Student2-5 score is
– (50% x 60) + (50% x 1 x 60) = 60
• Student6 score is
– (50% X 60) + (50% X 0.33 X 60) = 40
17. Key points
• WebPA uses your assessment form to work
out Relative contributions
• WebPA Scores vary around an average of 1
• You decide the WebPA weighting to apply
when you generate mark sheets.
• Higher WebPA weightings give greatest
variance
18. Student Marks
• This example is based on an artificial scoring
grid:
Student1 Student2 Student3 Student4 Student5 Student6
Student1 5 3 3 3 3 1
Student2 5 3 3 3 3 1
Student3 5 3 3 3 3 1
Student4 5 3 3 3 3 1
Student5 5 3 3 3 3 1
Student6 5 3 3 3 3 1
