Jeff Divine is a renowned surf photographer who has been photographing surfing for over 45 years. He got into photography after growing up surfing in California. In the 1960s he began taking photos of his surfer friends, and was eventually hired by a surfing magazine in 1971, launching his career traveling the world to photograph surf destinations. He has one of the largest archives of surf photography, with work published in museums in California and the UK. His favorite place to photograph is South Africa for its beauty, culture, and epic surf breaks.

• Jeff began taking photos of his fellow surfer
friends during the 1960’s.
• By 1971, A surfer magazine hired him and he
started traveling all over the surfing
destinations!
• He was held as the photo editor in 1981 for 17
years.
• Oftenly people told he wouldn’t make it in the
photography industry because everyone
wanted it but, he went for it anyways.
