1. How to make a
St. Brigid’s Cross

2. Step 1:
Gather 16 pieces of reed.

3. If you can’t find

reeds, you could
also use pipe
cleaners or straw!

4. Step 2:
Take the shortest one and hold upright.

5. Step 3:
Take a second straw and fold it in the
middle. Wrap it around the first straw at
the centre.

6. Step 4:
Take a third straw and wrap it around the
second straw and pull tight.

7. Step 5:
Take a fourth straw and wrap it around the
third straw and pull tight.

8. Step 6:
Take a fifth straw and wrap it around the
fourth straw and pull tight.

9. Step 7:
Take a sixth straw and wrap it around the
fifth straw.

10. Repeat these
steps….

12. Tie rubber bands at the end of
each arm and cut the ends for a
fine finish!
