This document introduces probability and how it is calculated. Probability is defined as the number of desired outcomes divided by the total number of possible outcomes. Examples are given of calculating the probability of rolling a 2 on a standard die or drawing a Queen of clubs from a standard 52-card deck. The document also states that the probability of all events happening is 1 or 100% and the probability of an event not happening is 1 minus the probability of the event happening. Homework problems from page 324 numbers 1-8 are assigned.
