I was asked to present to the senior players at my old Footy Club about my Melanoma Cancer Journey so far and how I am fighting on.

2. Life before
Enjoyed racing and training
hard riding an averaging
200+km a week and 25km
Running a week.

4. April 2012
Diagnosed Stage 3A Melanoma.

5. Home after
three days in
Hospital
These beautiful girls and my
wife are my motivation and
fight to keep living they keep
me going everyday.

6. Drain Bag for two weeks after lymph node removal.

7. Moved on with Life and thought all is ok....
Entered Melbourne Marathon to race the 10km
My aim was to run sub 38min.

8. OCTOBER 2012
6 months since being
told I had Stage 3A
Melanoma-Cancer.

9. October 2012
Scan Time......
Scanxiety.

10. Scan Results showed four Brain
Tumours

11. Within 6 Months I went from
Stage 3A to Stage 4C

12. My home for
the next month
One of the hardest
part of all this was
missing my family.

13. Battle Scars
Bleed on the brain

14. Set Back with a return to
hospital...Resilience
tested again.

17. The ‘Game’ of Life and
setting goals.....

18. Christmas-
Family and that’s all that
matters. Being here for
this was an achievement.

19. The other big Goal was to
see our eldest child and
second eldest go to
school and kinder for the
first time.

and fight anything can be achieved.

26. Didn’t think I’d be able to achieve what I
have done so far.
Rode two days of the
Tour de cure Riding 350km
over two days.
As a result of this Tour I was able to Raise
Money for Cancer Research.

27. Back working Full time
and on the bike again.

28. My Journey is not
over…..
- Blood tests every four weeks.
- Scans every six weeks.
- Medication every day.
