Would you like to improve your business profile photo? During shooting business portraits, I found out few points that I felt it would be great if people knew beforehand and so created this Short Portrait Guide.

2. Wear simply colored clothes
without any attention-grabbing
pattern
Whether you prefer dark or light clothing, the best choice
is to keep it looking simple. Few colors, no patterns.
Attention will be on your face and the clothes will not
clash with the background.
Wear comfortable, but not loose
clothes
It does not matter what figure you have, loosely cut
clothes will not make you a favor even if their size is
correct. Choose clothes that allow the shape of the body
to be shown and feel good at the same time.
Turn your body slightly to the side
and direct your face to the camera
To add plasticity and shapes to the portrait, turn your
body slightly, your head still directed towards the
camera. You may try putting your farther hand on your
hip to add even more shape and look relaxed.

3. Don’t only look at the camera,
direct your face too (up, down or to
the side)
Instead of moving only eyes, it is better to turn your head
and look directly. The proportions of your face will remain
natural this way. When the camera is lower, don’t simply
look down; make sure that also your head is bowed.
When the camera is high, face it by turning your head
up. When shot from very low, you may want to bow your
whole body in the direction of the camera.
Imagine that the photo is shot by
someone you love (or like a lot)
Pretend to like the photographer a lot or imagine a loved
one on his place. This can make you relax, add natural
smile and gain warm expression. Smile with your eyes.
