USB, Flash Drive, thumb drive….there are many names for this little device. Unfortunately because it is a little device it is often lost or forgotten. It happens regularly where a student saves their project to their flash drive and then forgets their flash drive at home on project day…..Drop Box is a virtual USB. Who has heard of Drop Box before? Play video.
The new library system allows students to search for books in our library on campus and off campus. You can complete a standard search by searching subject, title, author or keyword. If you aren’t sure where to search select anywhere and search for a term, it will search through out the entire record for that word and bring anything with that term up.
Clicking on the Sign In on the top right corner will allow you to log into your library account and check what books you have out and when they are due, history of books you have checked out, you can change your password, save book searches to your book bag, request books and view your library account information. To sign into your account you will need your student ID number (on your student ID card) and your last name. Also, your student ID number is your way of checking out items from the library
We have added a neat feature that allows you to send an email directly to your librarian. This can be requesting an Item, if there is a broken link, if you have forgotten your log in. If you do send an email please allow up to 24 hrs for a response, I may get back to you sooner than that however allow 24 hrs for me to respond.

Here is a sample basic search.I entered in the Search box Medical and these are the results.Over 2 million items to search through. As a medical institution, it is more common to cite your sources in APA or AMA style which is the styles used in Sciences and Medical. Once you chose the format it will appear in the light yellow areayou can copy the citation into your document or write it down by hand.
Each quarter you will be responsible for completing project for class. This will include researching and compiling information on an assigned topic. All resources need to be sited without the citations you will be plagiarizing whether intentional or accidental.Lets chat briefly about plagiarism. What is it? The unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one’s own original work, without crediting the author.
CLICKWhat is Plagiarism? Many people think of plagiarism as copying another's work, or borrowing someone else's original ideas. But terms like "copying" and "borrowing" can disguise the seriousness of the offense:CLICKAccording to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, to "plagiarize" meansto steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's ownto use (another's production) without crediting the sourceto commit literary theftto present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source. In other words, plagiarism is an act of fraud. It involves both stealing someone else's work and lying about it afterward. But can words and ideas really be stolen?According to U.S. law, the answer is yes. The expression of original ideas is considered intellectual property, and is protected by copyright laws, just like original inventions. Almost all forms of expression fall under copyright protection as long as they are recorded in some way (such as a book or a computer file). CLICKLets See What you know about plagiarism.
