Young Enterprise London
Description :
Do you have an interest in young people?
YOUNG ENTERPRISE LONDON run about fifteen different programmes with children
throughout different London schools. The Primary Programme is a fun and interactive
series of modules (five lessons per module), each delivered progressively to classes of
students aged four to eleven years. Hands-on activities work through concepts of
'ourselves', 'Our Families', 'Our Community', 'Our City', 'Our Nation' and 'Our World'.
These five modules are delivered as a one day seminar. However, we have many different
programmes (Big school, Learn to Earn, Enterprise in Action, Project Business, Personal
Economics, Company Programme, Team Programme, Entrepreneurship Masterclass, In
Business with the Games) that are delivered over one or two days, though some are half a
day sessions.
Young Enterprise requires volunteers with an interest in young people to go into primary
and secondary schools to share their experiences and help young people work through
our programmes.
Organisation Description :
With more than 40 years’ experience, Young Enterprise is the UK’s leading business and
enterprise education charity.
It offers a range of programmes, based on the principle of Learning by Doing, which brings
volunteers from business into the classroom to work with teachers and students. Some of
our programmes enable students to work together to run their own real company. Others
use games, hands on activities and role play to develop skills and capabilities for business
and enterprise.
With more than 5,500 schools and colleges participating in our programmes, Young
Enterprise currently reaches more than 320,000 young people a year from primary school
right through to university.
The businesses and volunteers that support Young Enterprise take an active role in
building a better-motivated, educated and enterprising workforce, at the same time making
a real difference to the existing lives and future potential of young people who live and
attend school in their area.
