In May 1992, Leo was an independent entrepreneur running his own bakery shop when he decided to
start the Herbalife business on a part-time basis. After having visited a LDW meeting in Paris, it all went
very fast and after 17 months he qualified for the Millionaire Team.
On a holiday trip with Herbalife in 1995 he met his wife Janice.
From 1993 until 1995, Herbalife had some bad press in Belgium which caused Leo to lose 80% of his
business and income. “I lost completely my self-confidence,” says Leo. In September 1995, Leo and his
wife decided to quit Herbalife to try something different.
After several other interesting life-experiences and a conversation with a mutual friend, who advised them
to try again and build a new organization in Belgium , Leo and Janice decided to restart the business. At
that moment Leo and Janice had just got laid off from an internet company. “We discovered that the
Herbalife organization we had left behind was growing again and that a Distributor, who I have sponsored
in the past, had become a President’s Team member. I realized that I did lost a great deal of income.”
They made themselves a promise to never quit Herbalife again and in August 2000, Leo and Janice were
back in business. In February 2001 they started to build a new organization and 26 months later, they
qualified as President’s Team members!
“We live an incredible life, have the house of our dreams, and enjoy the good things in life”, says Leo, “we are very
thankful for the freedom we experience. Today Herbalife isn’t a job anymore, it’s a mission to help change other
peoples’ lives.”
