2. EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO KNOW,
I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN
“Disturbs others in class...” That was the running theme of
my report cards from Kindergarten through university. I
have always been too loud for my own good, but now I know
that it wasn’t just because I was a rude student, or because I
suffered from some condition. I disturbed others for the
same reason I like family gatherings, and parties, and
sharing ideas in class. I am an ENFP.

3. ENF...
WHAT?
What exactly is an ENFP? It is an organizational acronym for
the Myers-Briquot;s personality test. It is a tool that a#ows you to
see the strengths and preferences of your personality and even
provides you suquot;estions and input for possible occupations.

4. E IS FOR EXTROVERTED
“E” or “I” ... the first
distinguishing feature of the
test is your Introverted or
Extroverted tendencies. I am
way to the “E” side of the
spectrum, which means I focus
on the world outside. I enjoy
social interactions and tend to
be enthusiastic, verbal,
assertive, and animated. I enjoy
time spent with people and find
myself energized by social
interaction.

5. “N” IS FOR
INTUITION
N or S... the second defining
feature is the way we collect
information from the world.
Intuitive people tend to go with
their gut feelings about
things, and Sensing people use
the facts around them to
decide what’s happening. As an
“N” I tend to focus on the future
and the possibilities by reading
between the lines.

6. “F” IS FOR
FEELING
F or T ... what could I be? These
letters represent a decision
making process. Feelers take
the data of the world and make
decisions based heavily on how
they feel about something.
They use their principles and
values. Thinkers tend to use
logic to create an answer they
see as fitting for the situation.

7. “P” IS PERCEIVING
Perceiving or Judging is the
final category of distinction. It
determines how we go about
achieving our decisions.
Perceivers tend to take it all in
an adapt their plans to any
situation. Judgers usually
formulate a clear plan and work
to complete it despite the
changing obstacles.

8. WHAT DOES IT ALL
MEAN?
So what does it all mean? There
are sixteen different personality
types in the Myers-Briggs
system, each with their own
unique qualities. ENFP is a
combination often found in
kids who “disturb” others and a
summary reads like this...

9. ENFP - The quot;Advocatequot;
ENFPs are introspective, values-oriented,
inspiring, social and extremely expressive.
They actively send their thoughts and
ideas out into the world as a way to bring
attention to what they feel to be
important, which often has to do with
ethics and current events. ENFPs are
natural advocates, attracting people to
themselves and their cause with excellent
people skills, warmth, energy and
positivity. ENFPs are described as
creative, resourceful, assertive,
spontaneous, life-loving, charismatic,
passionate and experimental.

quot; They can't bear to miss out on what is going on around them; they must experience,

- The Portrait of the Champion Idealist (Keirsey)
quot;ENFPs are warm, enthusiastic people, typically very bright and full of potential. They
live in the world of possibilities, and can become very passionate and excited about
things. Their enthusiasm lends them the ability to inspire and motivate others, more
so than we see in other types. They can talk their way in or out of anything. They love
life, seeing it as a special gift, and strive to make the most out of it.quot;

11. quot;Friends are what life is about to ENFPs, more so even than the other NFs. They
hold up their end of the relationship, sometimes being victimized by less caring
individuals. ENFPs are energized by being around people. Some have real difficulty
being alone, especially on a regular basis.quot;- ENFP Profile (TypeLogic)

13. THE EFFECT ON
MY LEARNING...
What do I now know about my
learning style and needs? I
know that as someone who
values people, I will be seeking
out interactions and
discussions... hopefully keeping
them on topic, though most
likely not. I will be introspective
but animated when something
sparks my interest. I will be
spontaneous and creative, and
always bring a positive energy.
