Key Projects Since 2005 
(Till June 2014) 
SIRSA 
Education 
1. The State Government has granted Rs 110.42 crore for the development of infrastructure and other facilities of Chaudhary Devi Lal University. 
2. Two new colleges have been opened in Ellenabad and Dabwali. 
3. A female dormitory has been built in Chaudhary Devi Lal Memorial Engineering College Panniwala Mota for girls at a cost of Rs 6.15 crore. Around Rs 25 crore has been spent on various development works of the engineering college. About Rs 2.84 crore was spent by the previous government. 
4. A women’s dormitory has been built hostel for girls in Government Polytechnics Chaupata. Rs 4 crore 21 lakh has been spent on it. 
5. A hostel for boys is being built in Government Polytechnic, Sirsa. Its estimated cost is Rs 5.35 crore. 
6. An amount of Rs 2,01,77,000 has been spent to set up the Centre of Excellence to ITI in Sirsa. 
7. Skill development centres would be established in Sirsa. 
Electricity 
8. 36 new sub-stations have been established in Sirsa district, the capacity of 43 existing sub-stations has been augmented and 486 km long lines laid. An amount of Rs 370.31 crore was spent on these tasks. 
ROB 
9. A railway overbridge has been built in Sirsa at a cost of Rs 41 crore. 
Water and Sewerage 
10. An amount of Rs 138.38 crore has been spent on the improvement of water supply and sewerage system in Sirsa district. 
11. A sewerage and drinking water project costing Rs 120 crore is in progress in Sirsa and Ellenabad under the Economic Development Promotion. 
12. The drinking water supply has been augmented in 217 villages of Sirsa district.
Irrigation 
13. The capacity of Ottu Lake has been increased. More than Rs 45 crore has been spent on it. A proposal has been made to deepen the lake. 
14. An amount of Rs 22.16 crore has been spent on the improvement and expansion of various canals and small canals (Rajwaha). 
Urban Development 
15. The Municipal Corporation of Sirsa and other municipalities of the district have spent Rs 57.95 crore on various development works. 
Kinnow Grading Plant 
16. A Kinnow grading plant has been established in Abubshahar village at a cost of Rs 5.49 crore. 
17. The work of establishment of centre of excellence for fruits, under the Indo-Israel project, in the Mangiana village is almost complete. 
Health 
18. A Trauma Centre has been established in Sirsa. Dabwali Community Health Center has been recognized as a General Hospital. Primary Health Center of Ellenabad has been recognized as Community Health Center. Similarly, The Primary Health Center of Baragudha has been upgraded to Community Health Center. The Sub-Health Centres of Dadupur and Ganga Village has been upgraded to Primary Health Center. 
Solar Street Lights 
19. 6,660 Solar street lights have been installed in 333 villages of Sirsa district at a cost of Rs 12.65 crore. 
Tourism 
20. The construction work of new motel and rooms is in progress in Surkhab Tourist Resort. These will cost Rs 3,56,46,000. 
Building Construction 
21. An amount of Rs 41.44 crore has been spent on the construction of a Judicial Complex, five new Sub-Health Centres and other buildings in Ellenabad.
