person's identity and sense of belonging to
one state or to one nation, a feeling one
shares with a group of people, regardless of
one's citizenship status.

ACCORDING TO OUR RESEARCH…
 Around 98 % thinks that history has the
major impact on the development of national
identity, it forms traits on which national
identity is based.
NEGATIVE IMPACT
 We asked if it is possible that national identity
may be the cause of developing such values
as racism and antisemitism, the answer in
69.6 % of cases was clear : yes.

ancestry or ethnicity. In the history of a
nation and in its relations with other

important, they create national identity. They
