Do A STRAND TEST
o Pluck a strand of hair and drop it into a bowl of water. Give the
hair a light tap with your finger and see if it swims or sinks.
So What’s The Verdict?
IF YOUR HAIR SWIMS
If your hair swims, congratulations, it has been given a clean bill of health. There is no
sign of sun damage and no color processing. Good for you! Your hair is as healthy
looking as you are. Keep it up!
IF YOUR HAIR SINKS
If on the other hand your hair sinks, uh oh, this is bad news and means that your hair is
damaged. It has become so porous that it easily saturates with water. Not good at all! But
