colours.

• Each ring represents a continent and the joining of the
rings represents the union of these continents.
• The continents are North and South America (these are
considered one area), Africa, Australia, Asia and Europe.
• The Olympic symbol was originally designed in 1912 by
Baron Pierre de Coubertin.
