The Cost of Quality (COQ)
• COQ – the cost of avoiding poor quality,
  or incurred as a result of poor quality
• Translates defects, errors, etc. into the
  “language of management” – $$$
• Provides a basis for identifying
  improvement opportunities and success
  of improvement programs
