  1. Introduce yourself, your position, your passion and how you came to be here Project Hope and mission WDEP Mention focus on Dudley neighborhood in Boston
  2. Programming at Project Hope has been developed based on the needs of our families and the community Starting with the family shelter and then developing educational programming, child care services, housing assistance, and employment assistance has made Project Hope unique by having coordinated integrated programming giving quick access to services that meets the needs of our families where they are at when they arrive and progressing with them to reach the goal moving up and out of poverty

  4. Case management is critical to the overall success of the program and success of the employees. One on one relationships with program participants during program and for full year post employment. Briefly describe role, importance in retention.
  5. The Collaborative Shelter Program represents how PH addresses the unique needs of homeless and families at risk of homelessness. CS serves anyone who is in shelter or is in the process of being evicted - priority of services goes to our families referred by our 7 shelter partners Participants are referred to Phope and they complete an intake and assessment focused on their education, training, employment goals and barriers An action plan is developed with the Case Manager & the participant is supported in enrolling into internal PH training, external training, internal education, external education. They are also provided with Case Management services for 1 year to ensure success in reaching their goals.
  6. Describe how you quantify your success Each number represents a person with their own story, a Tanya… Every year would like to help more participants reach employment goals, and help more employers meet their staffing needs

Describe evolution: Program started with contract with Partners; Was able to grow with additional support from Project Hope; Is looking for additional growth in multi-year corporate and foundation grants to enable us to work with individuals who are less skilled and will take more investment before they are qualified for a job. At same time will continue to grow employer partner base. Make sure you can say how you believe this is attainable
