Spike Jonze was born in 1969 in Maryland and grew up in Maryland and Pennsylvania. He is an American director, producer, screenwriter and actor known for directing films like Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Where the Wild Things Are, and Her. Jonze also has a successful career directing music videos for artists like Fatboy Slim, Weezer, Beastie Boys, and Björk. He co-created and produced MTV's Jackass series and currently serves as creative director for VBS.tv.
