Using Podomatic for Posting Podcast Assignments
Production I – Fall 2010
Step 1:
Log In to Podomatic.
Step 2:
Go to My Podcast and then
Post an Episode.
Step 3:
Give your podcast episode a
Title and Description. When
you are finished, choose
Save & Continue.

Step 4:
Next, upload the audio file
that you created using
Audacity.
Choose Upload a file.
Step 5:
Locate the audio file on your
computer by choosing Select
some files.
Step 6:
When your file has been
successfully uploaded, you
will see the 1file uploaded
message.
Click the link I’m finished
uploading. Close this
window.
Step 7:
The next step is to select the
file you just uploaded to use
for your podcast episode.
Choose Select from your
Media Library.

Step 8:
Locate and click once on the
file you have just uploaded
(in this example,
monstermash.mp3).
Choose Save & Continue.
Step 9:
If you would like to include a
photo along with your
podcast episode, choose
Upload a photo or I don’t
want to select a photo. Skip
this step.
Step 10:
Add Tags if you would like.
Leave None selected.
Choose Save & Continue.

Step 11:
Review your episode
information to make sure
everything is correct.
Choose Save & Continue.
Step 12:
Your episode is processed for
publication.
Wait a few minutes and then
choose click this link to see if
your episode has been
published.
Step 13:
When your episode is
published, you can now
embed it on your blog.
Choose Embed a player in
your web page.

Step 14:
Make sure you have logged
into your blog and created a
New Post.
Choose a Color and a Size for
your podcast episode.
Copy the Embed Code.
Step 15:
Paste the embed code into
the Edit HTML area of the
new post on your blog. Add
any additional text to your
post that you would like to
include about your podcast
episode.
Preview and then Publish
Post.
Step 16:
That’s it! Your post should
look something like this.
