meeting on the eveningof Nov. 8th– interested to hear what directions
UBC may be taking with respect to futureeducation and potential
relationships with the VSB
Attended the United Way breakfast on November 16 in the cafeteria and
helped SMT flip pancakes. Thanks to Kabir Bhagaria and the rest of the
United Way team for organizingthis.

2. Attended the Educationinthe Inner City: a panel discussion about inner
city childrenliving in poverty and their school experience on theevening
of November 14that the Vancouver Public Library’sDowntown Branch
Facilitated the VSB Retirement reception on theeveningof November 10
at the local MasonicHall – thanks to Patsy Peters, DonnaWongand staff
for their assistance and the choirs and musiciansfrom Hamber and
Byng.
Attended the Community Planfor a PublicSystemof Integrated Early
Care and Learning: Reception to celebrate a new vision for Child Carein
BC co-facilitated by Trustee Gregson and Rita Chudnovsky on the
eveningof November 16 at the SFU Harbour Centre, Vancouver
Attended a meeting of new VPs in a facilitated session led by Jordan
Tinney, DeniseJohnson and Rob Schindel on November 16
Attended the strategic planningimplementation visioningexercise for
VSB staff on the eveningof November 24 organized by Jordan Tinney
and facilitated by Peter Norman
Also attended the city-wideDPAC meeting – session on Parenting and
Conflictled by Raj Dhasi on the eveningof November 24

End of this week will meet with College and University representatives
on the BC Councilon Admissionsand Transfer (BCCAT)
Will attend a meeting called by the Deputy Minister on December 8 and
also attend parts of the BCSTA Trustees’ Academy – two Vancouver
groupsof studentswill providefeatured entertainmentwillbe featured:
the GladstoneMusicalTheatre and the Eric Hamber Jazz Choir.
