Discover how keeping your commitments will not only increase your self-esteem, but it will give you the ability to accomplish every thing you set out to achieve.
2. What is self-esteem?
Self-esteem is the ability to believe in yourself, which
includes your beliefs and values
You have to make sure your beliefs and values get
stronger
Taking actions it the best way to make your beliefs and
values get stronger that will increase your self-esteem
Every time your action matches your beliefs and values,
your self-esteem increase; even if a negative outcome is
the result
3. Are you keeping your commitments?
If you have trouble taking action that match your own beliefs
and values, then you tend to break your commitments and
promises to yourself and other people.
When you break your commitments, either to yourself or to
other people, you are harming yourself and no one else.
You are the one taking the action, not other people.
When you break your commitments, then you believe that
your commitments are not important to you.
As a human being, if something is important, you would
follow it through.
4. Why people fail to take action?
You have been lying and not keeping your
commitments
You have been influenced by society to believe that
lying is an okay thing
You are unlikely to take action when you lie because
what you say does not match your beliefs and values
You believe that a little what lie will not hurt anyone
5. Who get hurt the most when you lie?
When you lie, you are the one who is going to get hurt the
most
Even the smallest lies and commitments matter
Example: When you say you will be at your friend house at
2pm, but not arrive there until 3pm, then you have lied
Example: When you say you will finish reading your book in
1 week, but not finish until 3 weeks later, then you have lied
The longer apart you accomplish something from your
commitments, the lower your self-esteem will be
6. The benefits of keeping your
commitments
You will have a high level of self-esteem
You will be able to accomplish many things in life
Every time you accomplish something and keeping
your commitments, you are telling the world and
most importantly to yourself that you can and will
accomplish anything you say you will do
You will be able to accomplish all of your goals
7. What prevents people from
accomplishing their goals?
It is not the lack of knowledge or skills
It is the lack of keeping commitments
Example: Have you ever set goals or resolutions to do this
and that, but never seem to achieve them?
In order to achieve something big, you have to achieve the
small things first
You have to accomplish your daily commitments before you
can achieve the big commitments
In this case, the more you keep your daily commitments, the
higher your self-esteem will be
With a high level of self-esteem, you can achieve anything
8. Keep track of your commitments
If you have trouble keeping your commitments, then write
down on paper which commitments you fail.
Re-evaluate why you fail to keep your commitments.
Ask yourself, did you make the commitment just to
impress others?
When you try to impress others, you tend not to keep
your commitment.
Or does your commitments match your beliefs and values?
9. See to change
When you see your failures on paper, you are more
likely to want to change.
As you start to keep your commitments to yourself
and other people, you will feel amazing about
yourself.
The more amazing you feel about yourself, the
higher your self-esteem will be.
