information on proper
safety regulations for
playgrounds. It also
gives a checklist of
tips to playground
safety.

students offered by the
Timothy L. Johnson
Academy in Fort Wayne.
This is a great resource
that can be sent home to
parents at the beginning
of the year. It can also be
used for students during
school safety week.

is a great resource that can be
used for staff development. It
contains detailed information
on safety considerations for
dealing with an active shooter.
It was constructed by a deputy
from the Los Angeles County
Sheriff’s Department.

on what bullying is,

prevent bullying.

was put out by the U.S. Dept.
of Justice and was actually
meant for police. However,
much of the information in this
guide could easily be adapted
and used during a staff

strategies.
